What is the difference between hindsight and foresight? They both reach the same conclusions. Yet, whereas hindsight is effortless, foresight requires strategic thinking. When a permit application to open or expand a quarry is delayed or halted because of NIMBY opposition, it becomes apparent that quality-of-life issues needed to be addressed more fully and community ties needed to be strengthened.
