NEPA Reform Possible This Year

The House Resources Committee is ready to begin reform of the National Environmental Policy Act. Draft NEPA reform recommendations prepared by a special task force of the Resources Committee have drawn kudos from industry groups including the National Mining Association. The panel's draft recommendations, which have not been endorsed by the Resources Committee, take aim at many problems highlighted by industry groups that testified before the task force.
