Hawkins Takes NAA Reins

The National Aggregates Association turned to Charles Hawkins III to rejuvenate the group. NAA hopes Hawkins, with his lengthy association experience, can lead the association out of the woods. Hawkins replaces interim president Richard Meininger. In late 1998, Meininger came out of retirement to head NAA after Executive Vice President Craig Thibaudeau resigned. Meininger came on board at a time when the association was gearing up for CONEXPO-CON/AGG '99, which it co-owns.
